Our Process
Pressure Washing With Attention to Edges, Joints, and Runoff
The driveway was pressure washed to remove dirt, organic buildup, and debris from the concrete surface. Around the garage and drain, the work was slowed down so rinse water and loosened material could be controlled instead of forced into the wrong place.
The paver walkway and patio were cleaned with a more careful approach than a solid concrete slab. Pavers can handle cleaning, but the joints, edges, and sand condition matter. Since the homeowner planned to resand the pavers afterward, we focused on cleaning the moss and surface buildup without intentionally stripping every joint bare.
What stood out in the paver photos was how the moss followed the joint pattern. The pavers beside the flowering garden bed held more organic material along the edges, while the concrete driveway showed broader gray-black film. Those two surfaces needed the same project visit, but not the same touch.
Results
Cleaner Concrete and Pavers Ready for Resanding
The driveway cleaned up nicely and looked much brighter after the dirt and buildup were removed. The drain area was cleaned with care, and the paver walkway and patio were left cleaner with moss reduced from the joints and surface so the planned resanding had a better starting point.
For this kind of project, the win is not just making the hardscape look better. It is also handling the details that affect the next step, especially when pavers will be resanded after cleaning.
